If too personal or explicit..[edit]

I made an edit and sourced it with a WaPo article about his health. If anyone thinks my addition of the name of the procedure, prostatectomy (which I sourced from the WaPo article) is too explicit, feel free to remove that word. Please don't revert my entire edit because I added relevant details about the timing which should be included.-- FeralOink (talk) 14:39, 14 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Lede Sentence could or should be more comprehensive[edit]

Austin has spent more time post military retirement on the boards of private corporations, running a consulting company, and partnering in an equity firm, than he has being Secretary of State.

If the lede sentence can highlight his military career and then jump to his "post retirement" service as Secretary, it should surely include the other majorly significant thing he has done post retirement: mainly his private sector work which includes a glaringly significant military contractor.

Austin isn't just a military man and a public servant and that pertinent fact can be inserted into the lede sentence without making it too lengthy. If he wasn't nominated, what would we say about who he is/was post retirement? Nandofan (talk) 15:24, 6 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
