There are several places in Wikipedia where you click on a link to create a new page, and in the edit page you see a notice above the edit box (called edit intro) and/or some content preloaded into the edit box (called preloaded content). This works because MediaWiki supports "preload" and "editintro" parameters in the links to the edit page.

If you want to edit the edit intro or preloaded content, you need to go to the page or subpage that contains them. However, there is no straightforward way to do that (you might copy & paste the page name from the address bar, but it is not easy to do, especially if they contain special characters).

This gadget adds a link to the top of the page that links to the edit intro page and the preloaded content page. The links appear in smaller font, right next to the page title.

To install this gadget, add this line to your personal JS file:

importScript('User:Huji/Gadget-intropreload.js');
